Empower Communities with Local Clean Energy

Join the Opt-Out CDG Coalition

We are a group of local governments, environmental and equity-focused organizations, and industry stakeholders who are committed to advancing state and local clean energy goals through the implementation of Opt-Out Community Distributed Generation (CDG) in New York.

Policy Statement

The Opt-Out Community Distributed Generation (CDG) Coalition endorses the implementation of Opt-Out CDG in New York State as an inclusive and cost-effective way to empower communities, advance state and local clean energy goals, and deliver benefit to state-designated Disadvantaged Communities (DACs). We call on the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) to approve and implement the Opt-Out CDG program without further delay, and to work with local governments, organizations, and industry stakeholders to ensure its successful implementation.
